New from Xray is this optional CNC-machined 4-cell chassis for the XII made from 2.5mm high-grade graphite material with a specially-designed compound for carpet racing and asphalt racing. The chassis layout is optimally designed to provide proper stiffness for excellent handling, while being flexible enough to generate good grip and traction. This thicker and therefore harder chassis is best used in higher-traction conditions and should be used with the 2.5mm rear pod lower plate.
New for the XII, Xray have released an additional range of choices of their ultimate-match front coil shock springs, to help fine-tune your car. Powder color-coded for quick & easy identification, they have been developed through extensive testing and racing experience. The same thickness of wire is used for each spring, and stiffness is controlled by the number of coils, the softer springs have a lower “C” value and more coils, while the stiffer springs have a higher “C” value and fewer coils. Hot Bodies have released lots of new products for their European Championship winning Cyclone 12, starting with 3 new shells. These shells offer different tuning possibilities for the C12 and are available as an open cockpit shell, the Mark-I, as well as 2 closed cockpit versions called the Mark-II and III. Also available for further tuning your chassis are 2 new ranges of spring hardnesses, soft and hard, for both the front and rear of the car as well as new 4mm trailing offset front wheel axles, giving the car a different steering response compared to the 2mm trailing offset that comes with the kit. Finally for the C12, is a new shock shaft, front kingpins and wishbone pivot pins, that have been titanium nitrade coated for a smoother action that the standard steel parts.
Team Titan have released this rather nifty rear wing set for their Blitz 1/8th scale on road body shells. The 2 wings, or trim strips, come pre-cut on a single piece of molded 1mm thick polycarbonate and essentially offer you 2 additional tuning aids for your car. The Type I wing is specially designed to give lots of down force, while Type II can reduce the turbulence from the engines INS-Box and cooling Head. Type I is perfect for use with the Blitz Lola 05 and Type II works great on the Lola 06 and many other body shells.
Hong Kong based R/C parts maker Roche have released these easy to install ride height shims for yor 1/12th scale pan car chassis. Made from carbon fibre, they fit the Team Associated/Yokomo 12L4, CRC Carpet Knife and Corally 12X front end and are sold in 0.5mm and 1mm thicknesses. Simply loosen the screws on your front blocks, slide the shims in and tighten again, instant ride height adjustment.
