Futaba T3PM Crawler transmitter

Futaba have released the T3PM, a three-channel pistol-grip computer system for RC model car and racing boat drivers, in 2.4 GHz FASST technology, a spread spectrum system with permanent frequency hopping (FHSS). This New variant of the T3PM system now has a crawler mixer function for trial vehicles for four-wheel-steering. Depending on what is required for the terrain, a mixer function allows the front and rear axles to be articulated in the same or in opposite directions.

No crystal, no channel settings, no same channel interference – these are the big advantages of FASST-technology. Thanks to Spread Spectrum-modulation, frequency-hopping and the code-tying of transmitter to receiver using more than 4.2 billion codes, almost free from interference.

Modern casing design with ergonomically positioned controls and setup elements. Large 100-segment LCD screen to provide a clear display of function settings. 10 saved models in memory, with model name, copy model and model reset, for easy management of different models. 4 digital keyboard keys and handle button for setting up trimming and mixer functions, including while driving. ABS-cadence brakes for optimum grip when braking in curves. A function called drive condition, allows a second setting to be called up for the functions which are to be adjusted during a race.

Sanwa / Airtronics M11X radio system

Sanwa, or Airtronics as they are known to others, have released details on their new M11X. This the first of the M11 family to have the 2.4Ghz system integrated into the transmitter, before opting to have just a different module. The Japanese company claim that their new 2.4 system is 3 times faster then previous versions, making for a much more responsive system. The radio itself has only received some small cosmetic changes, due to the integration of the 2.4 system and now features a top mounted stubby aerial.
