New from Duratrax are these two 7.4V LiPo Car Packs, in 3700mAh (25C) and 5400mAh (20C) which claim to offer superior LiPo performance for electric cars, buggies and trucks and are designed to work equally well for both sport and racing applications. The packs are protected inside an impact and puncture resistant ABS case and are wired for balancing, with gold-plated bullet connectors for all terminals, both packs come with a battery lead with a standard connector.
Also new from LRP releases is their next generation LiPo batteries. Specially developed for extreme power delivery and runtime, just charge and drive. With unbelievable capacities, LRP breaks down the next barrier and is heading for new limits. Featuring a transparent blue durable hard case to keep the cells from being damaged during use, the new LiPo 5300 features same measurement as 6-cell Sub C battery cell, and fit in all standard 1/10th scale on road and off road cars. Thanks to bulges on the base of the case, the pack fits securely into standard Sub C pre-cut chassis and battery holders.
Trinity have announced this new I-Balance Li-Po Battery Management System, which offers all-in-one charging, discharging, and balancing for not just LiPo’s but Ni-CD, Ni-MH, Li-Ion, Li-Fe, and even PB (lead acid) batteries. The I-Balance uses a unique individual cell voltage balancer, which means that an external balancer when charging LiPo’s is not required. Other features include delta-peak detection, “fast charge” mode, auto charge current limit, capacity limit, 5-slot data storage/recall, temp monitoring, cycling, LCD display, and touch pad keyboard. You can also manage your packs with a PC through the optional USB interface cable (sold separately).

Team Tekin have announced the release of their Power Cell, a 3400mAh 7.4V 23C LiPo pack. Suitable for use in most touring cars and other non saddle pack configured cars, further details are sparse, but it is supplied in a protective hard case and has top mounted connection points and balancer port. UPDATE. According to Tekin president Jim Campbell, this pack is already ROAR legal and there will different versions and sizes coming out in the future.

CS Electronic have announced the release of this new Super Sport 13.5T brushless motor, which is aimed at club racing and other spec racing series’. The winding of this motor, along with the rotor, has been optimised for best performance and power delivery, while the ventilation holes in the can greatly help reduce the working temperature and thus help increase efficiency. This motor has been approved by the DMC (German RC car Federation) for use as the spec motor in the 2wd and 4wd buggy championships, but can also be used as a spec motor in touring car classes.
