Schumacher have introduced the new ‘I’ charger and Power Supply to their range of electronics. The ‘I’ charger 106B+ is a Synchronous Balance charger/discharger for NiMh/NiCd, Lithium, LiPo, LiFe and Lead Acid (Pb) battery packs. The main feature of the ‘I’ charger is that it is capable of charging at up to 10A making it extremely powerful and versatile. In addition to the charger the P350 power supply is now also available. The Powerful AC adapter is applied for any device with DC in 10-18V. It is designed especially for high power charger and balancer charger applications for RC models.

PN Racing have released their S6 Multi Balance Charger. This DC charger has an idling current of approx 100mAh, with a max charge/discharge power of 80W & 8W. Able to work with NiCd, MiMH, LiIo, LiPo and LiFe cells, it has a chrge current range of 0.1 to 5A and a discharge current of 0.1 to 1A.

Schumacher have announced this new Core RC UDC30 Universal digital charger. Following on from the hugely successful UDC20 this is a rapid charger with high performance microprocessor and specialized operating software for multifunctional operation. The UDC30 employs an individual cell voltage balancer meaning that no external balancer is required and during the process of discharging, the UDC30 can monitor and balance each cell individually. Adaptable to various types of Lithium batteries, including LiPo, Li-ion and the new LiFe battery, it sports normal ‘Fast’ charge which reduces the duration of charging and also automatic ‘Store’ mode which can be used to store the battery if not in use for a long time to protect the life of the battery. A huge range of leads are included and a separate 240/12v power supply is also available.

New from ProTek R/C is this iCharger 208B Lilo/LiPo/Life/NiMH/NiCD DC battery charger. This charger allows you to charge 2S to 8S lithium batteries, or multiple batteries connected together in series and comes with an XH style balance adapter board that fits Align, E-Flite and ProTek R/C battery packs, and adapter boards for other batteries are also available. Trinity have announced this new I-Balance Li-Po Battery Management System, which offers all-in-one charging, discharging, and balancing for not just LiPo’s but Ni-CD, Ni-MH, Li-Ion, Li-Fe, and even PB (lead acid) batteries. The I-Balance uses a unique individual cell voltage balancer, which means that an external balancer when charging LiPo’s is not required. Other features include delta-peak detection, “fast charge” mode, auto charge current limit, capacity limit, 5-slot data storage/recall, temp monitoring, cycling, LCD display, and touch pad keyboard. You can also manage your packs with a PC through the optional USB interface cable (sold separately).

Core-RC have released information about these two new, soon to be released, chargers. Both feature durable black anodised aluminium cases with backlit displays and are suitable for many different uses including NiCad/NiMh and Lipo. The UDC20 (above) is also an integrated balance Lipo charger, while the UDC10 is also a low amp discharger.
